Operation
Plug the timer into your desired socket and plug your desired appliance into the front of the timer.
When operating, the red LED indicator will illuminate.
The timer has 7 individual settings, which are explained below. Please read carefully to select your preferred option. The hour-based dusk till dawn settings are ideal for appliances that you want on for a certain number of hours, but not all night e.g. a hallway lamp or seasonal decorations.
This timer will also deactivate if continuous light is detected for >8 seconds. Once the timer detects darkness for >8 seconds again, it will reactivate and restart the chosen programme.
ON / OFF
ON – The timer and any appliance plugged in is constantly on.
OFF – The timer and any appliance plugged in is off.
DUSK TILL DAWN
The timer will turn the appliance on automatically when it detects the dark and automatically turn it off when it detects light. To avoid false deactivations, the sensor must detect a light source for at least 8 continuous seconds before switching off.
Note: The programmed LUX level is designed to detect natural light levels only. The timer can be used successfully with lamps and other plugged lighting, providing there is around a meter distance between them.
AFTER DARK SETTING – 2 TO 8 HOURS
The timer will turn the appliance on automatically when it detects the dark and automatically turn it off after 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours and 8 hours.
Note: All hour-based settings are intended to deactivate the timer after their allotted timespan. However, the timer will also deactivate if continuous light is detected for >8 seconds. Once the timer detects darkness for >8 seconds again, it will reactivate and restart the chosen programme.
