What is the lifespan of a British Berkefeld by Doulton ceramic filter candle?
British Berkefeld ceramic filter element lifespan can vary based on usage and water quality, typically, a filter can last up to 6 months with regular use. To maximise the lifespan, clean the filter regularly and replace when performance declines.
How often should I replace the ceramic filter candle?
We recommend replacing your filter every 6 months. If you notice a drop in water flow or a change in taste, it may be time to replace the filter. Check the product manual for specific recommendations for your filter model.
What level of bacteria can my British Berkefeld by Doulton Water Filter cope with?
Our filter forms a physical barrier for pathogens, trapping the bacteria on the surface of the ceramic while allowing clear, mineral-rich, great-tasting water though. If your water flow lessens before 6 months we recommend that you change your filter
Can I use British Berkefeld filters in any other systems?
Filters are compatible for use in Berkey, Phoenix, Purewell, Newton and other Gravity Water Filter Systems.
