Yes, Our Zermatt Series stoneware is fully microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe. We recommend using the top rack of the dishwasher to preserve the glaze over
time. No metallic accents are used, so you never have to worry about sparking or damage.
Are the glazes lead-free and cadmium-free? Is this set food-safe?
Absolutely. The glaze is 100% lead-free and cadmium-free, so you can serve hot or acidic foods without any health concerns.
Will tiny cracks (crazing) appear in the glaze after a few months?
Our stoneware uses a glaze formula that resists crazing under normal use Avoid sudden temperature changes —— for example, don‘t take a plate directly from
the freezer to a hot oven. With proper care, you should not see crazing for years.
Will these plates and bowls chip easily with daily use?
Our stoneware is high-fired at over 1200°C, making it much stronger than earthenware. While no ceramic is unbreakable, this set is specifically designed to resist chipping from normal use —— including stacking, cutlery contact, and light bumps.
Can I stack these plates and bowls neatly without them wobbling or scratching each other?
Yes. The plates have a slighitly recessed base for stable stacking, and bowls nest inside one another. The bottom rims are meticulously polished and smoothed to prevent scratching, so you can stack and store them without worrying about wear marks.
